The future is starting in the middle of the sea
The exploration and transport of oil and gas from subsurface fields is still an important factor for our daily life and our economy. Steel pipes are of central importance because they are used in subsea pipelines, drilling equipment and transport lines. In order to withstand the harsh subsea conditions the steel pipes for offshore applications are made from high alloyed steels and delivered with special anti – corrosion coatings. This is the only way to ensure the efficiency and safety of offshore pipes.
Offshore pipes are not only used during the exploration of raw materials. They take also care for the stability of foundations of drilling equipment or as foundations and piles for offshore wind mills because they anchor the whole construction safely in the sea bed.
