With yield strengths up to 100.000 psi our X80 – X100 steel pipes are especially pressure resistant – and this with comparably small wall thickness. This means for you: Less weight, easier handling, less transport costs and better efficiency in your important projects. Even higher loads as extreme weather or sudden pressure increase are compensated by the high strength of the pipes. Therefore X80 – X100 pipes are indispensable in numerous applications such as the exploration of hydrocarbons or in offshore wind parks.

Highest performance in stormy water
Our X80 - X100 steel pipes consist of high performance steels, which are used in challenging applications in the oil and gas sector. They are of outstanding importance for riser pipes because they have to ensure the transport of hydrocarbons and drilling fluid from the sea bed to the surface. X80 - X100 steel offers high strength and outstanding toughness which are mandatory to withstand high pressures and alternating temperatures in the deep sea. Thanks to their extraordinary mechanical properties our steel pipes are ideal for deep sea offshore applications where reliability and long service time are essential.
For drilling risers which connect the drilling equipment with the liner pipes at offshore explorations our X80 – X100 pipes offer additional advantages.
Those pipes need to resist axial loads and torsional forces at the same time and they must be wear resistant. The high yield strengths of X80 – X100 allows to reduce the wall thickness which leads to a weight reduction and easier handling on platforms and FPSOs. In addition the outstanding fatigue resistance of those steels minimizes the risk of material failures which is fundamental in safety critical applications as the offshore drilling technology. Therefore X80 - X100 steel pipes are the first choice for Riser Pipes and Drilling Risers.
